Bouk Ok Pansa (End of Buddhist lent Festival)
10/6はBouk Ok Pansaと呼ばれるルアンパバーン(ラオス)のお祭りでした。
私たちはお祭りがラオスで行われることなんて知らなかったんですけど、こっちに来てから教えてもらいました。
10/6 was Laotian festival called "Bouk Ok Pansa". Actually we didn't know that before coming to Luangprabang, Laos.
Bouk Ok Pansaとは…？
3カ月続いた僧侶の修業期間「雨安居（うあんご）」の終了日に行われるお祭りです。この日は早朝から各地で大々的に托鉢が行われます。雨安居の期間中は、在家であっても結婚などのお祝い事を自粛する風習が今も残っているため、このオークパンサー後に各地で結婚式などが頻繁に執り行われるようになります。
What is "Bouk Ok Pansa"?
It's cerebrate End of Buddhist lent after 3 month lasting.
まず、夕方６時から（と言ってもラオスタイムなので実際に始まったのは７時半）ドラゴンの形をしたランタンを見せるパレードがあります。場所は毎日ナイトマーケットが行なわれている道、私たちは５時半頃に向かってレストランのテラス席をゲットしてご飯を食べながら始まりを待ちました。
パレードはこのストリートをまっすぐ突き当たりの川の方まで進み、その先にあるお寺へ立ち寄ります。その後川へ向かい川に流されていくという流れでした。
The festival is started at 6 pm( but it's Lao time tho, it was started from 7:20 yesterday).
First they have parade with lantans looks like dragon on the street they have night market every night in Luangprabang. We went to there around 5:30pm and had the terrace seat at the restaurant just by the street.
The parade is going straight to the end of street and visit the temple there, then going to the river.
街中では上の写真にある個人用ランタン（灯篭？）を販売していて個人でも火の付いたランタンを川に流すことができます。

お祭りは夜中11時すぎまで続いているようで、ラオスの若者が音楽を大音量でかけて踊っていたり、街中が活気付いていて行く価値あったと思います。
You can find the small stand selling tiny lantern for individuals and you can put these on the river by yourself as same as local Laotian. it was really beautiful festival and worth to visit.
